Customers and their contacts

In practice you never write “to the company”. You write to Ms Kramer in HR — and next time to her colleague. Dagomi reflects that instead of squeezing everything into one “contact” field.

In short

  • Any number of contacts per customer, with first name, last name, role and their own address.
  • A primary contact is preselected everywhere but can be changed before every send.
  • Recently opened customers are instantly available — on the customers page and via quick search.
Where to find it Cockpit → “Customers” → customer profile → “Contacts” card. Quick search with Ctrl + K. — Open the cockpit →

The primary contact saves the most clicks

Mark a person with the star and they count as the primary contact. Everywhere Dagomi prepares a message to this customer — promises, outreach, follow-ups — they are already filled in. You only change it when it should exceptionally be someone else.

What happens when you delete a contact

This is where many systems get messy. In Dagomi the rule is: at the moment of sending, the email address actually used is frozen into the message. If the person is deleted later, the record stays complete — you still see what went to which address and when.

Drafts still open merely lose the link and ask for a new recipient when sending. No orphaned records are created and nothing is silently deleted along with the contact.

Faster to the customers you actually work with

Most day-to-day paths lead to a handful of customers. So Dagomi remembers which ones you opened last and shows them at the top of the customers page. The same list appears in the quick search you open from anywhere with Ctrl + K.

From the morning briefing, too, one click takes you into the full customer profile instead of having to search the name again.

How to use it

  1. Create or import customers

Manually, by import, or automatically from the Lexoffice connection including past revenue.

  2. Add contacts

First and last name separately, plus role and email address. Separate name fields are what makes salutations in generated messages come out correctly.

  3. Mark the primary contact

One click on the star. From then on this person is preselected everywhere.

  4. Check the recipient when writing

Before every send you see who the message goes to and can switch with one click.

Frequently asked questions

How many contacts can a customer have?

As many as needed. There is no meaningful upper limit — purchasing, department and management side by side is the normal case.

What happens to sent messages when I delete a contact?

They remain unchanged, including the address actually used. The proof is not lost — only the reference to the deleted record goes away.

Can I import customers from my accounting system?

Yes. Through the Lexoffice connection, customers come over together with their past revenue — which is also the basis for the relationship radar.
